July Work Integrated Learning (WIL) program

July 1, 2021
Patrick Pleass Memorial Award 2020

At JDR Software, we feel it’s important to contribute to the Higher Education industry in any way we can. Our July Work Integrated Learning participant is Navya Kovuru. Navya is studying for a Master of Data Science at Deakin University.

Whilst here, Navya will assist in testing new features in Allocate Plus. We aim to ensure we only release products that have gone through rigorous testing so they are 100% ready for implementation – bug-free! This may involve both automated and manual testing. For our end-to-end or functional testing of new features, this is often done manually on the initial test.

Ultimately we are always aiming to reduce the time spent on manually testing new features, so part of Navya’s role will be to assist in automating some of the manual tests. Automating our tests saves time and money allowing us to spend more time on feature development to build a better product.

The JDR Software team wish Navya every success during her July Work Integrated Learning placement here with us.

We regularly offer WIL positions to high-achieving, enthusiastic, motivated students in their final year of study. Keep an eye on our news stories to see who we have joining us next.
